Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has called on the Christian Leaders in Nigeria and Africa to tolerate one another and avoid religious sentiments
Tinubu spoke when she received a delegation of the leadership of the Africa Biblical Leadership Initiative (ABLI) recently in Abuja
The delegation was led by a formal Head of State , Gen. Yakubu Gowon (Rtd)
The General Secretary/CEO. of the Bible Society of Nigeria, Pastor Samuel Sanusi and others also was among the delegation.
The visit was to sensitive the first Lady of the upcoming conference of ABLI sheduled for October. 2024.
Tinubu said that Africa needsa lot of prayer at this time and African leaders need to work together to address all the challenges facing the continent.
“I believe that if we don’t relent and continue to speak, because the voice of the devil is always very loud, we cannot be intimidated and try to do the best that we can because this govt is not hostile to the Christian faith; we came about because of the challenge and the demand of our time,” Tinubu said.
Also Speaking , Gowon said that the youth conference has been integrated into the main programme with the theme “Arise and Shine” with the value of raising a new generation of transformational leaders, carefully selected resource persons.
Also Prof. Jerry GanaWe commended the govt on its reforms because “if we sustain it there will be a transformation because societies are really changed through values.”
