Abuja — Nigeria’s top political and judicial figures, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, are set to converge in Abuja on April 29 for the public presentation of a major legal publication authored by renowned Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Emmanuel Ukala.
The event, described as a significant gathering of the nation’s legal and political elite, will also be attended by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kudirat Motonmori Olatokunbo Kekere-Ekun, and Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio.
Ukala’s book, titled “Ukala’s Manual on Appellate Practice for Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Nigeria,” will be unveiled at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre. The publication is expected to serve as a comprehensive guide for appellate litigation practice in Nigeria’s higher courts.
Sources close to the planning committee disclosed that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, will lead an array of high-profile dignitaries to the ceremony.
Also expected is the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Afam Osigwe, alongside leading members of the legal profession across the country.
The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi, as well as the President of the Court of Appeal, Chief Judges of the Federal High Court, and the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, are also billed to attend.
According to the sources, several state governors, lawmakers, captains of industry, traditional rulers, and prominent legal scholars have confirmed participation, underscoring the national significance of the event.
