The Transformative Governance Forum (TGF) has endorsed the emergence of Solomon Olamilekan Adeola as the consensus gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, describing the development as a defining moment in the state’s political landscape ahead of the forthcoming election.
In a statement signed by its Director of Strategic Engagements and Partnerships, Ademola Rabiu, the Forum characterized Adeola’s emergence as more than a routine political nomination, framing it instead as a validation of progressive ideals centred on equity, social justice, and grassroots development.
The group highlighted Adeola’s track record in public service, noting that his legislative experience reflects a consistent focus on policies aimed at economic inclusion and human capital development. According to the Forum, his candidacy signals a vision for governance that prioritizes both economic growth and improved living standards for ordinary citizens, including traders, farmers, and young people.
TGF also commended the leadership of incumbent governor Dapo Abiodun and the Ogun APC Executive Council for adopting a consensus-based approach in selecting the party’s flagbearer. It described the process as transparent and devoid of internal conflict, adding that it reflects party unity and strategic political coordination.
The Forum argued that avoiding a contentious primary election has strengthened the APC’s cohesion in the state, positioning it as a formidable force heading into the polls.
Expressing optimism about the party’s chances, the group said the consensus decision would likely be affirmed by voters, projecting confidence in Adeola’s eventual victory and his anticipated leadership at the state’s executive seat in Abeokuta.

Looking ahead, TGF pledged to support the candidate’s administration, if elected, by serving as a policy and strategy partner. It said it is prepared to contribute research-driven frameworks and advisory support aimed at accelerating socio-economic development across the state.
The endorsement adds to growing political momentum within the Ogun APC, as stakeholders begin to align ahead of what is expected to be a closely watched gubernatorial contest.
