
Ado-Ekiti — The Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti on Friday granted bail to human rights activist and Lagos-based lawyer, Dele Farotimi, in the sum of N30 million with two sureties.
Farotimi is currently standing trial in a defamation case filed by Aare Afe Babalola, the founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD).

Presiding Magistrate Abiodun Adesodun ruled that Farotimi must deposit his international passport with the court as part of the bail conditions.
The case has been adjourned until February 13, 2025, for further hearing.
