A coalition under the banner of New Nigeria Movement has singled out Major Hamza Almustapha as the sole individual capable of rescuing Nigeria from its current predicament.
This declaration was made at a Youth Summit organized by Youths representing the 19 northern States, held at Uranium Hotel in Kaduna.
During the event, the National President of New Nigeria Movement, Alhaji Mustapha Bala Getso, emphasized that given the disappointments of successive administrations, particularly those of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), it has become unmistakably clear that the remedy for Nigeria’s challenges lies beyond these two parties. Hence, there is a pressing need for a united endeavor to determine the most suitable candidate that the entire youth population can endorse.
“I have had awareness of Major Almustapha for a considerable period, although our relationship was not particularly close. Nevertheless, I have come to recognize his genuine intentions for Nigeria, and his wealth of experience would undoubtedly be an invaluable asset for the nation,” he remarked.
Also, Mallam Hayatudeen Makarfi, the former Kaduna State Gubernatorial candidate of the PRP in the 2023 elections, echoed the sentiment that the current cadre of leaders has fallen short. He emphasized that the time is ripe for the youth to unite and rally behind a leader like Major Almustapha, whom they believe possesses the necessary qualities to salvage Nigeria.
“We are all cognizant of the repercussions when individuals traded their votes for meager commodities like bread and spaghetti. It is truly regrettable, and that is precisely why we are in dire need of authentic change, which must originate from us, the youth,” he asserted.
Dr. Usman Musa, Comrade Fahad Umar, and Associate Professor Dahiru Muhammed Sani, among others, also conveyed the belief that the youth have the potential to effect meaningful change by uniting and throwing their support behind a reputable figure of integrity like Major Almustapha, whose experience is perceived as capable of alleviating the plight of the masses.
The gathering was attended by youths, including women, from all the northern states.
