The Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mrs. Grace Adayilo, has passed away after collapsing in Abuja in the early hours of today.
Her death was confirmed in a brief statement to journalists by her media aide, Anthony Odey.
President Bola Tinubu appointed Adayilo as the pioneer Head of Service of the FCT on October 6, 2024, making her not only the first to hold the position but also the first woman to do so.

Before her historic appointment, she served as Permanent Secretary of the Agriculture and Rural Development Secretariat.
As of press time, neither her family nor the FCT Administration had released an official statement regarding her passing.
