The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, has received the Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Nigeria, Tak Namgung, ahead of the forthcoming Korea-Africa Foreign Ministers’ Meeting scheduled to hold in Seoul, South Korea.
This was disclosed in a press statement signed by the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, in Abuja.
According to the statement, the high-level meeting is expected to bring together ministers and representatives from all 54 African countries, building on the momentum generated at the inaugural Korea-Africa Summit.
The engagement is aimed at deepening collaboration between African nations and South Korea, with a strong focus on shared economic and strategic priorities.
Key areas of discussion at the meeting will include cooperation on critical minerals and supply chains, particularly in strengthening partnerships in energy, mineral resources, and logistics in response to evolving global geopolitical risks.

Other focal points include expanding economic and strategic partnerships through increased trade, advancing the green transition, and promoting digital innovation, in line with the objectives set during the 2024 Korea-Africa Summit.
The meeting is expected to further consolidate ties between Nigeria, other African countries, and South Korea, while opening new opportunities for sustainable development and economic growth across the continent.
