The Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) have lauded Hon. Leke Joseph Abejide, the Member representing Yagba East, Yagba West, and Mopamuro Federal Constituency, as well as the Chairman of the House Committee on Customs and Excise Duties, for his outstanding legislative achievements and commitment to constituency development.
Led by Comrade Abbas Mustapha, the National Coordinator, the group paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Abejide in Abuja on Wednesday, presenting him with an appointment letter and outlining their mission to foster a sustainable working relationship with his office.
RHA praised Hon. Abejide for his numerous constituency projects, which include:
Road construction and infrastructure development
Equipping hospitals and establishing ICT centers
Construction of classroom blocks
Youth and women empowerment initiatives
Scholarships for tertiary education
Job placement for constituents
The group particularly highlighted a recently launched road construction project valued at ₦60 billion, included in the 2025 fiscal budget. In recognition of his dedication to his constituency and alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, RHA appointed him as a Patron.
During the visit, Comr. Mustapha emphasized the importance of visionary leadership, stating:
“People without vision lack a mission, and without a mission, they embark on a hopeless adventure.”
He outlined RHA’s fourfold objectives:
1. Promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda – Bridging the information gap through mass media, press briefings, town hall meetings, and grassroots outreach. Key focus areas include food security, poverty eradication, economic growth, job creation, security, and anti-corruption efforts.
2. Advocacy for Good Governance – Encouraging public officeholders to uphold accountability in line with the Renewed Hope vision.
3. Community Engagement and Sustainable Development – Ensuring continued public awareness of the Renewed Hope Agenda beyond elections, emphasizing that democracy thrives on communication and citizen participation.
4. Collaboration with Public and Private Organizations – Pursuing partnerships based on the group’s 5C’s principles (Conception, Communication, Cooperation, Collaboration, and Coordination) and core values of Patriotism, Loyalty, Progressiveness, Honesty, and Faithfulness.
The group commended the ongoing Isanlu Town Hall Road construction, which began in December 2024 and is scheduled for commissioning in April 2025.
Additional projects in Yagba West, particularly in Odo, Ere-Igbaruku-Omi-Odo-Ara-Ogga-Ogbom, have been earmarked in the 2025 fiscal budget at a cost of ₦4 billion. A grand-scale 57.2 km road project, spanning 10 communities and valued at ₦60 billion, is also set to commence.
RHA further requested Hon. Abejide’s support in addressing logistical challenges and implementing key humanitarian programs for 2025, which include:
Food distribution for vulnerable individuals across the six Area Councils of the FCT.
Medical and surgical outreach on March 29, 2025, marking President Tinubu’s birthday, to enhance rural healthcare.
Lecture on PBAT’s Two-Year Stewardship on May 29, 2025.
Food distribution initiatives for Eid-el-Fitr, Eid-el-Adha, Christmas, and New Year celebrations.
The group highlighted key obstacles, such as the need for:
1. A larger office space equipped to function effectively as a secretariat.
2. Mobility and sponsorship support to facilitate their nationwide outreach.

Quoting scripture, Comr. Mustapha expressed confidence in Hon. Abejide’s support, recognizing his philanthropic contributions and dedication to community development.
In his response, Hon. Abejide graciously accepted his appointment as RHA Patron and encouraged the group to continue mobilizing support for President Tinubu’s administration. He affirmed his commitment to championing the Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in preparation for the 2027 elections.
