The National Emergency Medical Service and Ambulance System (NEMSAS) has called on Nigerians to prioritise safety and health during the Easter celebrations, while reaffirming its commitment to providing timely emergency care across the country.
In an Easter message, the National Programme Manager of NEMSAS, Dr. Doubra Emuren, extended warm greetings to Nigerians and highlighted the significance of the season as a period of sacrifice, hope, renewal, and triumph over adversity.
He noted that the values symbolised by Easter—compassion, resilience, and selfless service, align closely with the mandate of NEMSAS in delivering life-saving emergency medical services nationwide.
According to him, the agency remains inspired by the spirit of sacrifice associated with the season, which continues to drive its daily operations in strengthening emergency medical response systems across Nigeria.
Emuren urged citizens, healthcare workers, and institutions to demonstrate greater care for one another, particularly during emergencies, by acting swiftly and responsibly to safeguard lives.
“As you travel and celebrate during this festive period, I urge all Nigerians to remain safety-conscious, adhere to traffic regulations, and prioritise their health and well-being,” he said.

He assured that NEMSAS is fully on alert throughout the Easter period to provide prompt emergency care and support wherever needed.
