Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has called on Christians to imbibe the virtues of selflessness, forgiveness, and reconciliation as they celebrate Easter, stressing the need for unity and peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.
In an Easter message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, the governor congratulated Christians in Anambra and across the country, noting that the significance of Easter goes beyond mere celebration.
Soludo urged the faithful to reflect deeply on the values symbolised by the season, particularly the teachings and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, which he said underscore compassion, tolerance, and collective responsibility.
He emphasised that Easter presents a moral obligation for Christians to prioritise the well-being of others, forgive past grievances, and promote reconciliation within families, communities, and the nation at large.
