Abuja, April 30, 2026 — Supporters of Olubiyi Fadeyi have purchased the ₦20 million senatorial nomination form of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on his behalf, formally signalling his entry into the 2027 Osun Central Senatorial contest.
The gesture, carried out at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Thursday, underscores growing political backing for the lawmaker, who currently represents Osun Central Senatorial District and serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the form is expected to be officially presented to the senator later on Thursday.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Digital Media and Publicity, Bashorun Adekanola Desmond, the group—operating under the banner of Team Ajagunnla—said the move reflected widespread confidence in Fadeyi’s leadership and performance.
The delegation was led by Akin Titiloye, alongside prominent political figures including Rasheed Adeniji, Success Ogundare, Fasola Adebayo, Fatokun Olusola and Samad Adeyemi, among others.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Titiloye described the purchase as a collective effort by loyalists and stakeholders determined to sustain what they described as ongoing development across the senatorial district.
“We are not acting alone; this reflects the widespread support he enjoys. Though friends and brothers contributed to purchase this form for him, he is currently unaware of this development,” he said.
He added that the decision was driven by the need to ensure continuity in representation and governance.
“We came together to purchase this form to ensure that the development being witnessed across Osun Central Senatorial District continues without interruption,” he stated.
