The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has congratulated Mrs. Olubukola Moyo Babajide on her appointment as a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by King Charles III, describing the recognition as a testament to the excellence of Nigerians in the diaspora.
Babajide, a Nigerian-born entrepreneur, technology leader, and founder of Crystal Options Ltd. and Female Techpreneur, was named among recipients of the King’s Birthday Honours List for her outstanding contributions to technology, business, and inclusion in the United Kingdom and beyond.
Dabiri-Erewa said the honour reflects the resilience, innovation, and global impact of Nigerians, noting that Babajide’s achievements continue to bring pride to the country and its diaspora community.
“Bukola Babajide’s recognition with the MBE is a testament to the resilience, brilliance, and positive impact of Nigerians across the world,” she said. “Through her work in technology, entrepreneurship, and advocacy for inclusion, she has demonstrated values that distinguish Nigerians globally.”
The NiDCOM boss added that the award highlights the significant contributions of Nigerians abroad to economic growth, technological advancement, and social development in their countries of residence, while maintaining strong ties with Nigeria.
She commended Babajide for serving as a role model, particularly to young Nigerians and women aspiring to build careers in technology and entrepreneurship.
