New Karu, Nasarawa State — The Proprietress of Highland Montessori International School, New Karu, Mrs. Anih Ngozi George, has called on individuals, organisations, and donors to support the education of orphans and vulnerable children as the school graduated its Class of 2026 on Thursday.
Speaking during the ceremony, Mrs. George described the occasion as a moment of joy, reflection, and celebration, noting that graduation signifies not just the end of a phase but the beginning of a new chapter filled with promise and opportunity. She expressed pride in the pupils, commending their resilience, growth, and determination throughout their academic journey.
She emphasised that Highland Montessori International School is a charity institution providing free education to orphans and vulnerable children, stressing the urgent need for support to sustain its operations. According to her, assistance is needed to provide school supplies, learning materials, teachers’ salaries, meals, and a safe learning environment.
“We must ensure that no child is denied education because of poverty or loss. Every contribution, no matter how small, can help keep a child in school and give them hope for a brighter future,” she said.
The proprietress also commended the teachers for their dedication and commitment to nurturing the pupils, noting that their role goes beyond academics to instilling discipline, kindness, and perseverance. She appreciated parents and guardians for their continued support and partnership in raising confident and capable children.

ressing the graduating pupils, Mrs. George urged them to uphold values of integrity, hard work, and respect as they proceed to secondary school, adding that success is not only measured by academic performance but also by character and leadership.
In a goodwill message delivered on behalf of the community leader of Anguwapawa Doho, Chief Ishiaku Bawa Doko, the community secretary, Mr. Bala Ezekiel, commended the school’s management for its commitment to caring for orphans and vulnerable children.
He conveyed the leader’s appreciation and prayers for the continued growth of the institution, encouraging the children to remain hopeful and see the school as a home. He added that the community stands in solidarity with them and will continue to support their welfare.
Ezekiel also presented a token donation from the community leader to support the orphanage, describing the gesture as a demonstration of commitment to the cause.
