Abuja, Nigeria — Flybird RPAS, the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems division of Flybird Group, has advanced a proposal for the deployment of intelligent drone solutions aimed at addressing critical operational challenges in Africa’s energy sector.
The proposal was presented at the 25th NOG Energy Week Conference and Exhibition held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, where the company showcased its cutting-edge drone technologies and expanding aviation services tailored for energy, infrastructure and industrial operations.
Speaking at the event, Chief Executive Officer of Flybird RPAS, Chanel Scott, said the company’s participation underscored the rising demand for intelligent aerial solutions within the energy industry.
According to her, the exhibition created opportunities to engage organisations in search of innovative technologies capable of enhancing operational safety, improving efficiency and strengthening asset management.

The conference attracted key stakeholders across the global energy value chain, including international oil companies, indigenous operators, government agencies, regulators, engineering firms and technology providers.
Participants highlighted the increasing adoption of drone technology for infrastructure inspection, environmental monitoring, operational safety, security surveillance, asset integrity management and data-driven decision-making.
Flybird Group also leveraged the platform to outline its vision of building a fully integrated aviation ecosystem offering aircraft management, business aviation, offshore helicopter services, RPAS operations, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), and aviation advisory services.
