The Federal Government has intensified efforts to attract foreign and local investment with plans for the maiden Nigeria NOW! Global Investors Expo 2026, positioning it as a major platform to unlock Nigeria’s economic potential and drive sustainable growth.
The two-day Expo, scheduled for November 19–20, 2026 at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, is expected to bring together global investors, policymakers, financiers, and project developers to explore bankable opportunities across key sectors of the economy.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Dele Alake, reaffirmed government’s commitment to creating a competitive and investor-friendly environment. He described the Expo as a strategic initiative aimed at connecting credible investment projects with investors while strengthening collaboration between government, the private sector, and development partners.
Dr. Alake, who has accepted to serve as Patron of the inaugural Expo, noted that the event aligns with the Federal Government’s economic diversification agenda, with focus on sectors such as mining, power, manufacturing, infrastructure, oil and gas, and trade.
He reiterated the Ministry’s resolve to transform the solid minerals sector through value addition, responsible mining practices, deployment of modern technology, transparent regulation, and strategic partnerships capable of creating jobs and boosting economic growth.
According to him, the Expo will also provide investors with direct access to government policies, priority projects, and investment opportunities, while offering a platform to engage on key issues including financing, licensing, infrastructure, technology, and market access.
The Minister further called on the media to provide objective and constructive coverage that will showcase credible investment opportunities and support Nigeria’s economic transformation.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Engr. Faruk Yusuf Yabo, described the Expo as a vital platform for fostering collaboration among stakeholders. He assured of the Ministry’s commitment to working closely with organisers to ensure a successful outing, while urging the media to highlight ongoing reforms and investment prospects in the country.
Also speaking, the Portfolio Manager and Head of Corporate Development at EnergyNet, Mr. Abdoulaye Sylla, explained that the Expo is designed to connect global investors with viable opportunities across Nigeria’s economic sectors. He noted that the event will convene policymakers, financiers, technology providers, and project developers to facilitate partnerships and project financing.

Sylla added that EnergyNet would leverage its global network to attract quality investors and position Nigeria as a preferred investment destination, with the ultimate goal of delivering tangible investment outcomes that support long-term economic development.
The Nigeria NOW! Global Investors Expo 2026 is expected to attract participants from across the world, including investors, financial institutions, development partners, and technology companies, with a focus on stimulating strategic investments, strengthening public-private partnerships, and accelerating sustainable economic growth.
