Awka, Nigeria — Wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, has called on Nigerian youths to remain hopeful and take active roles in shaping the country’s future.
Soludo made the call in a Democracy Day message delivered on Friday in Awka, urging young people to continue believing in the promise of Nigeria despite prevailing challenges.
“I encourage everyone, especially our young people, to continue believing in the promise of our nation and to play their part in shaping a future where every family can thrive in good health, dignity and prosperity,” she said.
She described Democracy Day as a celebration of the enduring power of the people’s voice, hope, and collective resolve to build a better nation where dreams are realised and opportunities are accessible to all.
According to her, democracy reflects the possibility of progress when citizens actively participate in governance, leaders remain visionary and accountable, and communities unite for the common good.
Soludo further called on Nigerians to renew their commitment to the core values of peace, unity, justice, and service to humanity as the country commemorates Democracy Day.

Expressing optimism about Nigeria’s future, she urged citizens to work collectively toward building the nation of their dreams.
