Abuja, Nigeria — The Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has commended the upcoming Nigeria-Saudi Investment and Tourism Exhibition, describing it as a strategic platform to strengthen economic relations and unlock investment opportunities between both countries.
Dabiri-Erewa said the exhibition would help address misconceptions about investing in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia, while also identifying challenges and opportunities in both markets. She made the remarks during a pre-event media conference held at the NiDCOM headquarters in Abuja ahead of the second edition of the summit.
Represented by the Commission’s Secretary, Dr Sule Yakubu Bassi, she noted that the maiden edition of the exhibition held in 2019 recorded significant success, attracting over 30 companies from Saudi Arabia. She described the forthcoming edition as timely, adding that it would further boost bilateral investment relations and create opportunities for businesses and investors.
She also commended the organisers, Al Yaro International Limited, for their efforts in promoting investment visibility and fostering collaboration between stakeholders in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
Also speaking, the Head of Department, Technology Transfer, Innovation and Investment, Hon. Abdulrahman Terab, said the exhibition was designed to provide participants with deeper insights into the investment landscape of both countries and facilitate meaningful business engagements.
Terab emphasised that while Nigeria and Saudi Arabia have maintained long-standing diplomatic, cultural, and socio-economic ties, there is a need to translate these relationships into stronger economic partnerships. He added that the event would offer participants opportunities to explore sectors such as real estate, agriculture, trade, technology transfer, and tourism.
One of the organisers, Mr Muhammed Umar Yaro, announced that the exhibition would take place from August 4 to August 5, 2026, at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.
Yaro said the summit is expected to host over 100 exhibitors, attract about 5,000 visitors, and cover more than 20 investment sectors, including energy, agriculture, real estate, tourism, and manufacturing.
According to him, the event aims to connect investors, policymakers, and business leaders to explore ways of boosting trade and economic cooperation between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
The Nigeria-Saudi Investment and Tourism Exhibition is organised by Al Yaro International Company in collaboration with NiDCOM, Almanafie, the Association of Nigerians in Diaspora, Saudi Arabia (ANDiSA), and Suruh Alhijaz.

Organisers have encouraged interested participants to register online to take part in the two-day event, which will also feature discussions on investment prospects, challenges, and opportunities in both countries.
