Stakeholders in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State have lauded Senator Victor Umeh for his sustained agricultural empowerment initiatives, declaring their pride in his performance and people-oriented representation in the Senate.

The commendation came on Thursday during the Second Phase of the 2026 Agricultural Input Empowerment Programme held at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church Podium, Adazi-Nnukwu, where farmers across Anaocha benefited from the intervention.

The programme, part of Senator Umeh’s broader strategy to boost food production and improve farmers’ livelihoods in Anambra Central Senatorial District, attracted key political figures and community leaders, including his wife, Lady Prisca Umeh, State executives of the NDC led by the State Woman Leader, Dr. Princess Grace, and Anaocha LGA party executives led by Chief Anayo Nnabugwu. Also present were former lawmaker Hon. Ebele Ejiofor, stakeholders, and ward representatives.
Addressing beneficiaries, Senator Umeh emphasized that agriculture remains a critical tool for tackling food insecurity, generating employment, and improving household incomes. He urged recipients to make effective use of the distributed inputs to enhance productivity and contribute to food sufficiency across the state and country.

He reiterated that the empowerment programme is one of several interventions aimed at improving the welfare of his constituents, assuring that he would continue to attract impactful projects to all communities within the senatorial district.

The senator also appreciated the continued support of the people of Anaocha and called for sustained solidarity with the NDC, urging support for its candidates in the 2027 general elections.
In their response, stakeholders expressed deep appreciation for Senator Umeh’s consistent empowerment programmes and proactive representation. They praised his contributions in the Senate, as well as initiatives such as scholarships for over 300 students and employment opportunities facilitated for constituents.

Describing the agricultural empowerment programme as timely amid rising input costs and economic challenges, they noted that Anaocha is fortunate to have Senator Umeh as its representative, adding that his performance has brought pride to the people.
The Agricultural Input Empowerment Programme has continued to receive widespread commendation across Anambra Central as a practical intervention to strengthen food security, boost rural productivity, and improve the economic well-being of farmers.
