The Federal Government of Nigeria has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening economic diplomacy and deepening trade relations with the Republic of Sierra Leone, as the Nigerian High Commission participated in the maiden Nigeria Chamber of Commerce Trade Fair in Freetown.
Her Excellency, Ambassador Ayo Luther-Ogbomode, High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Sierra Leone, attended the opening ceremony of the trade fair held on July 30, 2026, underscoring Nigeria’s strategic push to enhance bilateral trade and investment opportunities across West Africa.
The event was officially declared open by Sierra Leone’s Honourable Minister of Trade and Industry, Alpha Ibrahim Sesay, who emphasized the shared vision of both countries in promoting trade, investment, and private sector growth.
