The Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of 6-year-old Amna Ayomide Bennett, a Nigerian child who reportedly died in Canada after falling from a 28th-floor apartment building.
According to reports from 200 Chalkfarm Drive, Canada, the young girl lost her life in the devastating incident, which has left her family, friends, and members of the Nigerian diaspora community in shock and mourning.
In a press statement signed by the Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, NiDCOM described the incident as heartbreaking and painful, noting that the loss of a child in such tragic circumstances is an unimaginable burden for any parent to bear.
Dabiri-Erewa said the late Amna Ayomide Bennett was a bright and promising child whose life was cut short far too soon. She extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved parents and family, praying for God’s comfort, strength, and peace during this period of profound grief.

She also expressed solidarity with the Nigerian community in Canada, urging them to rally around the grieving family with love, compassion, and prayers as they navigate the painful loss.
The NiDCOM boss further called on Nigerians in the diaspora to continue offering emotional support to the bereaved family, stressing the importance of unity in moments of tragedy.
