The Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) AWARENESS PROJECT, an advocacy program of the Kwara People and ACHIEVERS WORLD INT’L magazines, has nominated the FORD FOUNDATION as one of the institutional nominees the ongoing nomination process for the WORLD LEADERSHIP MERIT AWARD (WOLMA).
A letter addressed to the award’s nomination committee partly reads…”We are pleased to nominate the Ford Foundation as an institutional recipient of the World Leadership Merit Award (WOLMA). This prestigious award recognizes exceptional institutions that have made significant contributions to promoting social justice, human rights, and sustainable development.
The Ford Foundation has been a beacon of hope and a champion of social justice for over 85 years. Its commitment to reducing inequality, promoting democratic values, and advancing human achievement has been unwavering. Through its grant-making and programmatic work, the Ford Foundation has supported countless initiatives and organizations that have improved the lives of millions of people around the world.
The letter signed by the VAPP LAW AWARENESS PROJECT registered Youth Leader with the NGO CSW69/ NY, Abdulrahman Muhammed Kamaldeen reads further that..”The Ford Foundation’s work aligns perfectly with the themes of the forthcoming United Nations Women CSW69 Assembly, which focuses on achieving gender equality and empowering women and girls. In a related development, a statement jointly issued by Ms. Charity Munyiri, the Admin. Executive/Secretary Award Committee and Hon. Abdul-Hameed Oladipupo Alli, the Executive Director Media/ Publication of the World Leadership Merit Award (WOLMA), stated that the FORD FOUNDATION’S nomination has been confirmed and approved by the award committee in recognition of the organisation’s endless aide to most of the pet projects of NGO organisations championed by top government personalities and those who meet it’s standard for grants in the private sectors as well. The statement congratulates the foundation on this recognition of which is hoped to continue spuring her to do more for the betterment of humanity.
