The wife of the Anambra State Governor, Nonye Soludo, has celebrated the full recovery of a 10-year-old boy, Chiziterem, who was allegedly abused by his guardian in Awada, Obosi, Idemili North.
Dr Soludo, who had earlier pledged to monitor the child’s treatment, announced on Saturday that the boy had been discharged from hospital after making a complete recovery.
In a statement, she disclosed that she had paid all the child’s medical bills and would further assist his mother with resources to establish a sustainable livelihood, aimed at improving the family’s welfare.
“My heart is filled with immense gratitude as Chiziterem leaves the hospital today fully healed,” she said.
“His journey reminds us that kindness, compassion and collective love can restore hope even in the most difficult situations.
“I sincerely thank everyone who was touched by his story; those who visited him, prayed for him, sent gifts, offered words of encouragement, and stood with his family throughout this period.
“Your generosity and empathy truly made a real difference.

“As promised, I have taken care of all his medical bills, and we will also support his mother with the means to start a sustainable livelihood so she can provide a better future for her children,” she added.
She expressed hope that the boy’s recovery would inspire greater compassion and sustained support for vulnerable members of society.
