COP29: Nigeria Strengthens Partnership With China for Global Climate Action in Baku Azerbaijan

In a landmark move to tackle the global climate crisis, the Nigeria Minister of Environment, Malam Balarabe Abbas Lawal, has signed a pivotal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria with the People’s Republic of China.

During the ongoing COP29 summit, the minister attended the High-Level Dialogue: “South-South Cooperation Promotes Sustainable Development in Developing Countries”, at the invitation of the Chinese delegation.

This agreement aims to advance and accelerate climate action by leveraging innovative solutions, fostering mutual cooperation, and sharing expertise to address environmental challenges.
