Abuja, Nigeria – The Royalprince Media Services has announced the maiden edition of the Emporium Leadership Lecture and Awards 2026, scheduled to hold on June 25 in Abuja, as part of activities marking the 10th anniversary of Emporium Reporters.
The event is aimed at recognising outstanding leadership, institutional excellence and significant contributions to Nigeria’s national development, while also advancing conversations on the role of media in strengthening democracy.
With the theme, “From Clicks to Credibility: Digital Media’s Role in Deepening Nigeria’s Democracy,” the lecture will examine how digital platforms can promote credible information, responsible journalism, accountability and democratic growth.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Chief Sunday Akinlabi Dare, will chair the event, while Abdullahi O. Haruna Haruspice, Publisher of World Entourage Magazine, is billed to deliver the keynote address.
The programme is expected to draw top government officials and stakeholders, including the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, who will attend as Special Guest of Honour. Other dignitaries expected include the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris; Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig.-Gen. Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu; Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu; Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, Tony Ojukwu; and Director-General of the National Orientation Agency, Lanre Issa-Onilu.
As part of the ceremony, several distinguished Nigerians and organisations will be honoured for exemplary service and leadership. Among the awardees are ACC John Attah Onoja of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC); Abdur-Rahman Adekunle Balogun of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM); Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi; Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi; and Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, Grace Ike.
Others to be recognised include Fame Foundation for Gender Advocacy and Social Impact; energy consultant, Dr. Wisdom Enang; former lawmaker, Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya; Dr. Innocent Odey of InnoBec Business School; Ambrose Omordion of InvestData Consulting Limited; and Director-General of Voice of Nigeria, Jibrin Baba Ndace.
Speaking on the initiative, Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of Royalprince Media Services, Lukman Laleye Babalola, said the event underscores the organisation’s commitment to promoting credible journalism, responsible leadership and national development.
He described the 10th anniversary of Emporium Reporters as a milestone celebrating a decade of impactful reporting, public engagement and dedication to informing society.

The Emporium Leadership Lecture and Awards 2026 is expected to attract a wide range of participants, including media executives, policymakers, corporate leaders and development stakeholders committed to advancing credible communication and democratic values in Nigeria.
