On this remarkable day, we give thanks to Almighty God for blessing the world through your birth to your late parents, Chief Sir Innocent Umeh and Lady Mrs. Elizabeth Umeh. May their noble souls continue to rest in perfect peace. Amen.
Your life has been defined by extraordinary achievements and a deep commitment to uplifting humanity. Through your numerous philanthropic initiatives, particularly your unwavering support for the less privileged, you have transformed countless lives. The Victor Umeh Education Foundation (VUMEF) stands as a shining testament to your generosity and foresight. Over the past 18 years, the foundation has empowered hundreds of beneficiaries, producing doctors, lawyers, engineers, pharmacists, bankers, and other professionals. Many have even attained doctoral degrees through your singlehanded sponsorship.
Notably, on January 13, 2026, you disbursed a remarkable ₦64 million to 326 beneficiaries under your scholarship scheme, enabling them to continue their education. This noble gesture continues to inspire hope and proves that through education, dreams can indeed become reality for children of less privileged backgrounds.
In the political arena, your legacy remains profound and enduring. As National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for a decade, you elevated the party to national prominence. Your transition to the Senate saw you represent Anambra Central Senatorial District in the 8th Assembly (2018–2019), where your bold, courageous, and impactful representation left an indelible mark.
Your resounding victory in the February 25, 2023 National Assembly elections and subsequent inauguration as a ranking Senator in the 10th Assembly have further amplified your influence. Nigerians continue to benefit from your legislative experience and people-oriented motions. A notable example is your motion of July 18, 2023, addressing the urgent need to control erosion along the Onitsha, Oba section of the Onitsha, Owerri Federal Highway, an intervention that promises to save lives and improve infrastructure safety.
Academically, your brilliance has been evident from an early age. From excelling at St. Bridget’s Primary School, Aguluzigbo, to your outstanding performance at Bubendorff Memorial Grammar School, your dedication to excellence has never wavered. Gaining admission into the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, you earned a B.Sc. (Hons) in Estate Management in 1984. Today, you are a distinguished Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (FNIVS), among other professional recognitions.
Your devotion to the Christian faith is equally commendable. Your exemplary life earned you knighthood in the Noble Order of Knights of St. John International (KSJI) and the prestigious Papal Knighthood of the Order of St. Sylvester (KSS), conferred by Pope Francis in Rome.
Your deep connection to culture and tradition has earned you over 50 revered chieftaincy titles across Igboland and beyond, including Owelle Umenwedo, Ikemba Aguluzigbo, Ohamadike Ndigbo, and many others—each reflecting the immense respect and admiration you command.
