Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, has predicted victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election as women leaders and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the polls.
Edu’s declaration came as APC women unveiled an ambitious target of mobilising 40 million votes for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket, with plans to deepen their presence across states, local government areas, wards, communities and polling units.
The former minister said the mobilisation would be critical to consolidating the party’s support base and securing the re-election of Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in 2027.
The initiative is expected to place strong emphasis on women’s participation in grassroots politics, with organisers seeking to coordinate women across the country and translate their numerical strength into votes for the APC.
The mobilisation campaign will also focus on communicating the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0, tagged “From Reforms to Prosperity,” to communities, particularly highlighting government policies, reforms and development initiatives.
According to the organisers, the strategy is aimed at creating a coordinated support structure that will operate from the national level down to wards and polling units.

The campaign is anchored on the slogan of securing 40 million women’s votes for the Tinubu-Shettima re-election bid, with sustained mobilisation expected to continue across the country.
