As Nigeria takes significant strides into electric vehicle manufacturing and strengthens its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) is spotlighting opportunities for the nation’s youth.
The Chairman of TETFund, His Excellency Aminu Bello Masari, has called on Nigerian youth to embrace the Nigeria Talent Exploration Challenge, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at developing their skills and securing a brighter future.
The former governor of Katsina State and founding father of this initiative made this appeal ahead of the media launch of the Nigeria Talent Exploration Challenge. Scheduled to take place on January 25, 2025, at the NAF Conference Center in Abuja, the challenge is a nationwide talent hunt designed to discover, nurture, and celebrate the diverse skills and creativity of Nigerian youth.
In a message addressed to the youth, His Excellency stated: “The Nigeria Talent Exploration Challenge is an initiative close to my heart, aimed at uncovering and nurturing the incredible talents abundant in our great nation. This challenge seeks to identify, develop, and showcase the potential of Nigerian youth, offering them opportunities to excel and contribute meaningfully to society.
“We encourage all Nigerian youth to seize this opportunity to showcase their talents and realize their potential. Together, we can unlock the full promise of our youth and build a brighter future for generations to come.
“I sincerely wish all contestants success in their creative endeavors.”

2. Energy Transition Plan: As part of its strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, Nigeria’s energy transition plan emphasizes renewable energy and sustainable transportation, positioning EVs as a cleaner alternative.
