The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has appointed Nelson Ogbu as Chairman of the Benue State Congress Appeal Committee, in a move aimed at strengthening transparency and credibility in its ongoing nationwide congresses.
In a letter dated April 2 and signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo, the party expressed confidence in Ogbu’s ability to effectively oversee the appeal process and ensure fairness in resolving disputes arising from the state congress.
Ogbu, a founding member of the ADC coalition, brings years of experience as a media and political affairs consultant, journalist, and grassroots politician. Party officials described him as a figure known for integrity, competence, and a strong commitment to democratic principles.

The appointment is widely viewed as a strategic step by the ADC to reinforce internal democracy and build trust among party members in Benue State. It comes at a critical time as the party works to consolidate its structures and manage post-congress grievances across the country.
