President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Barrister Ismael Ahmed as the Executive Chairman of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGi), a key component of his administration’s palliative programme aimed at easing the economic burden of fuel subsidy removal.
In a statement released Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the presidency said Ahmed will oversee the operations of the PCNGi, which seeks to promote the adoption of cheaper, cleaner, and more sustainable energy alternatives for Nigerians.
