The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has honoured outstanding members of its workforce at a productivity award ceremony held at its headquarters in Ijora-Olopa, where a serving corps member received automatic employment and some temporary staff were confirmed.
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of LAWMA, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, commended the awardees for their diligence, discipline and commitment to keeping Lagos clean, saying the initiative was part of the agency’s efforts to reward excellence and promote staff welfare.
He urged staff to sustain high performance and uphold integrity and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
In her remarks, the Head of Administration and Human Resources, Ms. Zakinat Ranti Dosunmu, said the awards were a call to greater responsibility, adding that dedication and professionalism would continue to be recognised.

Award recipients drawn from senior, junior and project categories received plaques and gift items for their contributions to the agency’s operations.
The Executive Director, Mr. Kunle Adebiyi, assured that the awards would be sustained, noting that excellence would continue to be celebrated within the organisation.
