The lawmaker representing Orhionmwon Uhunmwode Federal Constituency OF Edo State, Hon. Dr. Billy Osawaru has reassured Nigerians of the appropriation budget of N27.5 trillion coming to fiction before 2024.
The lawmaker made this assertioned during 2024 presentation to the National Assembly by President Bola Tinubu, resolute to address the problems confronting Nigerians.
Hon. Osawaru, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who spoke with journalists in the National Assembly also assured that the House of Representatives would pass the budget within 30 days.
“It’s a renewed hope budget like the President stated, and You can see that most of the challenges we are going through now this budget is actually going to address them.
“And with the robust relationship we have built with the executive arm, it is going to help.”
The lawmaker maintained that President Tinubu was very intentional and meticulous as he ensured the budgets touches on all the critical sectors in Nigeria.
The lawmaker further expressed that “Looking at the macro policies, the insecurity situation we can see that the President actually touched on every aspect of all the challenges that are currently bugging the nation right now.
“We are going to make sure we give these critical sectors utmost priority
“Remember the president said that by 1st of January 2024 we should hit the ground running, , we are going to work nonstop on the budget within the next 30days.
“We are hardworking people, and we have good work ethics, as we leave here today we shall be breaking into committees to start work immediately.”
The Edo lawmaker described the 10th National Assembly as “most colourful, eight different political parties and we know how we all came here,” he added
