The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has raised alarm over an unauthorized breach of its official website by suspected hackers, warning the public to ignore any suspicious information or fraudulent messages emanating from the compromised platform.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the agency disclosed that it had detected a security compromise affecting its official website and is currently undertaking urgent technical measures to contain the breach and restore normal operations.
NEMA assured that efforts are underway to secure its digital infrastructure, prevent further intrusion, and reinforce the integrity of its online platforms.
The agency cautioned members of the public to remain vigilant and disregard any misleading content, unauthorized announcements, or solicitations for money that may appear on the website or be circulated through related channels during this period.
