The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has congratulated Barrister Hasan Fajimite on his election as President of the Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria (MULAN), describing him as a man of integrity and exceptional leadership capacity.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, and signed by its Executive Director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, the Islamic human rights organisation praised Fajimite’s emergence, noting that he is well-suited to lead the association at a critical time.
MURIC described the newly elected MULAN president as “hardworking, humble, and an embodiment of integrity,” adding that the association could not have chosen a better leader.
“The Muslim Lawyers Association (MULAN) recently elected Barrister Hasan Fajimite as its new president. We congratulate him on this great feat. MULAN could not have found a better leader at this crucial period,” the statement read.
The group further highlighted Fajimite’s contributions to the Muslim community, particularly in legal advocacy across South-West Nigeria, where he has been actively involved in defending the rights of Muslims.
“Barrister Fajimite is a legal luminary of immense standing. His selflessness knows no bounds, especially in matters relating to service in the course of Islam. He has been at the forefront of legal battles fought by Muslims in South-West Nigeria,” MURIC stated.

In recognition of his dedication and impact, the organisation referred to him as the “SAN of the Ummah,” a title reflecting high regard within the Muslim community.
MURIC expressed optimism that Fajimite’s leadership would strengthen MULAN and advance the interests of Muslim legal practitioners across the country.
