A northern Christian support group, Arewa Christians for Tinubu 2027 (ACT-2027), has declared a one-day fasting and prayer session for President Bola Tinubu and Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group also announced plans to dedicate its national secretariat in Abuja on Saturday, October 24, 2026, as part of efforts to expand its activities across the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
In a statement dated October 22, the National Coordinator of ACT-2027, Ambassador Ayuba Jacob Ngbako, said the fasting and prayers were intended to seek divine intervention for the president and the country ahead of the 2027 political campaign season.
According to the statement, the secretariat dedication ceremony will take place between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at Ogun House, No. 74, Central Business District, Abuja.
Expected guests include Right Reverend Stephen Tunde Adegbite, Archbishop John Praise Daniel, Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, Reverend Kure Wumanyi and Bishop Jonathan Maaji.
Other invitees include religious leaders, women and youth leaders, development partners and members of the press.
The group said the dedication would mark the beginning of a new phase of activities aimed at translating faith into development through educational support, skills acquisition, empowerment programmes, humanitarian services, peacebuilding and civic education across Northern Nigeria.
ACT-2027 described itself as an umbrella development platform for Arewa Christians across the 19 northern states and the FCT, with a focus on development initiatives, peace and civic engagement.
