Youth from the coalition of All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum in Kano State has praised Senator Barau I Jibrin, the Deputy President of the Senate, as a catalyst for the development of the Centre of Commerce.
The forum, representing all 44 Local Government Areas of Kano State, shows their gratitude to deputy president during visitation to the the National Assembly on Monday.
Present at the event were Senator Babangida Hussaini (APC, Jigawa), Senator Muntari Dandutse (APC, Katsina), Senator Ibrahim Lamido (APC, Sokoto), and Representative Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari from the Dambatta/Makoda Federal Constituency of Kano State.
Chairman of the forum, Hon Adamu Mukhtar, acknowledged Senator Barau’s significant contributions to the development of Kano State and the APC, encouraging him to maintain his efforts while emphasizing their dedication to unifying the party throughout Kano State.
Mukhtar expressed, “You are the catalyst for Kano State’s development. Please continue your commendable work. Do not waver. We fully support you.”
Highlighting the necessity of party unity, he added, “We will conduct an extensive campaign across all 44 local government areas. Numerous youth from opposing parties have expressed interest in joining the APC.”
In response, Senator Barau I Jibrin commended the youth for their party mobilization efforts. He reminisced about the Second Republic, emphasizing the importance of party success over personal ambitions, and expressed his satisfaction with the youth’s dedication to the cause.
He advised the youth, “The future of Kano and Nigeria’s politics lies in your hands. Take this responsibility seriously. You have vast potential. We stand by you completely.”
Encouraging the selection of competent leaders at all levels, Senator Barau stated, “Choosing the right individuals is crucial. With the right leadership, victory will be ours, by the will of God. If we assume power in Kano State, the youth will benefit greatly.”
