Afriland Properties Plc has appointed Mrs Iyabode Ayobami-Ojo as an Independent Non-Executive Director, bringing more than three decades of experience in real estate, business services and corporate governance to its board.
The company disclosed the appointment in a statement issued on Tuesday in Lagos.
Ayobami-Ojo joins the board after a distinguished career at NNPC Ltd., where she rose to become Managing Director of NNPC Properties Ltd.
In that role, she provided strategic leadership in repositioning the company, strengthening governance, improving commercial performance and optimising asset value for sustainable growth.
She previously held several leadership positions, including Director of NNPC Academy and Executive Director, Business Services, NNPC Trading Ltd.
She also served as Head of Stakeholder and Relationship Management in the Corporate Communications Division and General Manager, External Relations.
Ayobami-Ojo holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Arts from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr Azubike Emodi, Managing Director of Afriland Properties, said her expertise would strengthen the board and support the company’s strategic objectives.
