In a groundbreaking initiative, the Abuja Interior and Furniture Expo, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment (FMITI), has officially launched a two-day virtual exhibition to showcase innovations in furniture and interior design in Nigeria.
The expo provides an interactive platform for industry professionals, manufacturers, and enthusiasts to explore virtual exhibition booths, attend keynote sessions, participate in workshops, and network with potential clients and partners.
Declaring the event open on Friday, Project National Coordinator, Arc. Faisal Jafar Rafindadi, described the exhibition as a significant milestone in efforts to promote and highlight the latest trends, products, and innovations in Nigeria’s interior design and furniture industry.
“This virtual expo offers a unique platform for industry professionals, manufacturers, and enthusiasts to connect, exchange ideas, and explore new opportunities.”
He expressed gratitude to attendees, exhibitors, and stakeholders, emphasizing their role in driving the sector’s growth.
“I extend my deepest appreciation to our esteemed guests, exhibitors, and participants. Your presence underscores the growing importance of this industry in Nigeria.
“We also acknowledge the invaluable support of FMITI, without which this initiative would not have been possible.”
Rafindadi encouraged participants to take full advantage of the event, which includes product demonstrations, expert-led discussions, and innovative solutions that will shape the future of interior design and furniture in Nigeria.
“I invite you all to explore, learn, and connect. Let’s work together to establish Nigeria as a hub for interior design and furniture excellence.”
In his welcome address, Dr. Kabir Mustapha, Director of Contact and Mobilization, expressed excitement over the expo’s potential to bring together industry leaders, innovators, and enthusiasts from across Nigeria and beyond.
“This inaugural event aligns with the Federal Government’s renewed hope agenda to strengthen the digital economy through modern technology. As the first of its kind in Nigeria, this expo demonstrates our commitment to leveraging technology for growth and development.”
He reaffirmed the event’s objectives, including opportunities to explore exhibition booths, attend insightful sessions, and engage in workshops designed to enhance industry knowledge and business connections.
Dr. Mustapha also acknowledged the support of FMITI and other partners, including the Nigerian Association of Engineering Craftsmen under the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
“In a pioneering move, we have launched this expo virtually, with plans to transition to a physical format in the last quarter of the year. This approach allows us to reach a wider audience, foster global connections, and provide a truly unique experience for all participants.”
