The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON, has called on Nigerians to use the Christmas season as an opportunity to promote peace, love, and unity across the nation.
In a Christmas message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, Senator Akpabio described the festive period as a time for both celebration and reflection.
“In the spirit of the season, I encourage everyone to spread love, kindness, and generosity. Let us remember those in need and extend a helping hand wherever possible,” he stated.
The Senate President reminded Nigerians of the true essence of Christmas, highlighting the values of peace, love, and unity embodied by the birth of Jesus Christ. “As we gather with family and friends, let us reflect on these values and let them guide our actions as we work together to build a better and more united Nigeria,” he urged.

He noted that Jesus Christ, known for his message of peace, love, and generosity, serves as an example for all. “His birth is a cause for joy and celebration, reminding us of the importance of gratitude and togetherness,” Senator Akpabio added.
The Senate President extended his heartfelt wishes to all Nigerians, saying, “On behalf of my family, constituents, the Senate, and the entire National Assembly, I extend my warmest wishes to every Nigerian and their loved ones. May this season bring you joy, peace, and God’s abundant blessings.”
He concluded by wishing the nation a Merry Christmas filled with happiness and goodwill.
