The National Programme Manager of the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP), Mr Hamza Ibrahim Baba, has described the grassroots-focused service of Mr Favour Abayomi as a benchmark in public service as the Deputy Director-General, Coordination, Cityboy Movement, marks his 55th birthday.
Baba, in a congratulatory statement, said Abayomi’s years of service, particularly his contributions to efforts aimed at lifting Nigerians out of poverty, reflected his commitment to national development.
He recalled Abayomi’s role during the pioneering phase of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), where he worked closely with former Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, in advancing programmes targeted at poverty reduction and social inclusion.
“Your dedication to lifting millions of Nigerians out of poverty through grassroots-focused programmes remains a benchmark of public service,” Baba said.
According to the GEEP boss, Abayomi has continued to demonstrate leadership, patriotism and a strong commitment to humanitarian causes beyond his earlier years in public service.
Baba noted that as Deputy Director-General, Coordination of the Cityboy Movement, Abayomi had remained actively involved in mobilising young people and supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He described the celebrant as a visionary leader and team player whose wisdom and selfless service had continued to inspire political associates and young Nigerians.
“We celebrate your commitment, wisdom and selfless service to the nation.
“May this new age bring you greater strength, grace, good health and more opportunities to serve our dear country,” he said.

Baba, on behalf of his family, the GEEP family and political associates, prayed for God’s continued blessings, good health and greater opportunities for Abayomi to contribute to national development.
He wished him a happy 55th birthday and many more years of impactful service.
