The National Assembly has officially extended the resumption date for plenary sessions from Tuesday, April 29, 2025, to Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
In a notice signed on Monday by Kamoru Ogunlana, Clerk to the National Assembly, lawmakers and the general public were informed of the change. The statement reads:
“I am directed to inform Distinguished Senators, Honourable Members, and the general public that the two Houses of the National Assembly have extended the date for resumption of plenary sessions to Tuesday, 6th May 2025.”

The adjustment, according to the Clerk, is to allow lawmakers to participate in the upcoming Workers’ Day celebrations and attend to other constituency engagements.
All concerned parties are advised to take note of the new resumption date. The National Assembly apologizes for any inconvenience caused and appreciates the public’s understanding.
