We Only Have One Destiny, One Future, Whether You Are Black Or White – Akpabio

The Senate President of Nigeria, Godswill Akpabio has called for unity among the Nigerian students, saying that there is only one heaven, in spite of religions and beliefs.

He added that the students should learn how to embrace one another and tolerate individual differences. “We only have one destiny, one future, whether you are black or white”.

Senator Akpabio made this call on Thursday in Abuja, at the National Quiz Competition on the Legislature and Democracy on the 6th edition. Organized by the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies. (NILDS).

Akpabio emphasized that belief should not be a barrier.

The Senate president further stressed that the quiz among the students will not only foster unity in the country, but will also bring about development to the nation’s economy.

He further urged the students not to relent on their studies.

Following are the schools who compete in the quiz competition,

“ST Theresa’s College, Nsukka
Enugu State.
“Greater Tomorrow International College, Ondo State.
“School For The Gifted, Gwagwalada, Fct- Abuja.
“Government Pilot Secondary School, Katsina State.
‘Community Secondary School Aka Offot, Akwa Ibom State. And
“Pen Resource Academy, Gombe State.”

Selection of the schools were according to the geopolitical zones of Nigeria, comprising (NC), North East (NE), North West (NW), South West (SW), South East (SE) and South (SS).
