The Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has expressed gratitude to Nigeria’s security agencies for their unwavering dedication in securing the release of Dr. Ganiyat Popoola and Master Folaranmi Abdul-Mugniy.
In a statement signed by Alaba Balogun, Head of Information and Public Relations, the Ministry acknowledged the efforts of the Defence Headquarters, troops, and military personnel involved in the successful operation, as well as the support of medical associations and professional bodies that stood by the healthcare community during this time.
The statement emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to the safety and protection of healthcare professionals in Nigeria, recognizing the resilience and unity shown by the medical community amid challenging circumstances.
The statement reaffirmed that the Ministry’s ongoing collaboration with security agencies to ensure a secure working environment for healthcare workers nationwide and pledged continued prioritization of policies that enhance safety and support for those on the frontlines.
