The Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, has donated 1,000 motorcycles to the Kano State Police Command to enhance their operational efficiency and rapid response capabilities.
This gesture follows closely on the heels of Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf’s recent donation of 78 vehicles to the police.
During the presentation of the motorcycles to the Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Garba, Senator Jibrin issued a stern warning to criminals operating in Kano State, declaring that there would be “no hiding place” for them.
He urged those involved in unlawful activities to repent or face the full force of the law, emphasizing that the police are now better equipped to tackle crime.
The Deputy Senate President highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring public safety, calling on citizens to actively support security agencies. He commended CP Salman Garba for his efforts in maintaining peace and improving security in Kano State since his assumption of office.
Senator Jibrin also lauded the police for their dedication and sacrifices, promising continued support to boost their morale and operational capabilities.
He described the motorcycles as a practical investment in enhancing the effectiveness of the police force, particularly in areas where vehicles may struggle to access.
Ongoing Support for Security donation is part of Senator Jibrin’s ongoing efforts to strengthen security in Kano State. In 2023, he donated 22 operational vehicles to the state police command, reinforcing his commitment to supporting law enforcement agencies.
“Security is a shared responsibility,” Senator Jibrin remarked, “and we must all contribute to making Kano State safer for everyone.”
The Commissioner of Police expressed gratitude for the donation, assuring the public that the motorcycles would be deployed effectively to improve policing efforts across the state.
