Labour Party’s senatorial aspirant for Anambra South Senatorial District, Chief Paul Orajiaka has assured people of his constituency of effective legislative intervention and value-based leadership if elected.
Orajiaka made the promise while addressing party faithful and zonal executive member on Saturday to conclude his week-long tour of the Local Government Areas (LGA) of the Senatorial District.
The Local Government Areas visited were Nnewi North, Ihiala, Nnewi South, Aguata, Ekwusigo, Orumba South and Orumba North.
He said: “The tour of LGAs is to intimate you on my goals for Anambra South Senatorial zone and why I should have your support.
“I promise to provide value-based leadership and effective legislative intervention at the Senate as well as carry out visible projects to address the needs of our communities.
“I will ensure that projects are attracted to my constituency to deliver quality representation for the people of the zone.
“This interaction is for us to also share ideas on how to strengthen our great party, build solid comradeship and prepare to win the next Senatorial election for which I’m an aspirant.
“I strongly believe that together, we can build and achieve a collective victory for the greater good of our zone.”
Orajiaka said he was passionate to serve, qualified and fit intellectually, morally and health wise, to work for the good of Anambra South Senatorial district if elected.
He urged the people of his constituency to support and vote in LP to serve and represent them better.
Also speaking, Rev. Christain Orajekwe, Deputy state chairman of LP, promised a level playing field for all the party aspirants.
In his remarks, Mr Paul Obu, Member representing Orumba North Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly under the platform of LP, said Orajiaka is competent, reliable and capable for the position.
Following the demise of Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah who represented Anambra South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, the Independent National Electoral Commission is expected to conduct a by-election to fill the vacant seat.
