Union Bank Enhances PCIDSS v4.0 Certification

Lagos, Nigeria—Union Bank, a prominent and trusted financial institution in Nigeria, has achieved a significant milestone by obtaining the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCIDSS) version 4.0 certification.

This remarkable accomplishment, an advancement from the previously held Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCIDSS) version 3.2, acknowledges the Bank’s strict adherence to the highest data security standards and meticulous compliance with industry regulations concerning the prevention of payment card fraud and mitigation of unauthorized card usage.

The announcement was made through an official statement released by Union Bank’s management.

The PCI-DSS stands as the foremost Information Security standard for payment cards, aiming to enhance the controls over cardholder data and associated payment systems to minimize unauthorized usage and fraudulent activities.

In response to the Bank’s latest achievement, Francis Mojoyinola, Chief Information Security Officer at Union Bank, expressed his satisfaction, stating:
