President Bola Tinubu has vowed that the perpetrators behind the recent deadly attacks on communities in Plateau State will be swiftly apprehended and face the full weight of the law.
Expressing his deep condolences, the President mourned the victims from Ruwi, Hurti, and Tadai communities in Bokkos Local Government Area, as well as those in Manguna and Dafo villages, where the gunmen carried out brutal assaults, resulting in significant loss of life and widespread destruction.
President Tinubu extended his sympathies to the Government of Plateau State and Governor Caleb Mutfwang, urging affected communities to collaborate with security agencies by providing crucial information that could lead to the capture of the attackers and enhance security efforts in the region.
Reaffirming his commitment to ending the cycle of violence in the state, he assured Governor Mutfwang of his administration’s unwavering support in restoring peace and stability.
Additionally, the President directed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to coordinate with state authorities to provide immediate relief and necessary assistance to the victims. He emphasized the need for swift intervention to help affected communities rebuild and recover from the tragedy.

Condemning the attacks, President Tinubu stated: “The report of another violent assault on communities in Plateau State by mindless gunmen deeply saddens me. These latest attacks on defenseless citizens are completely unacceptable. I have instructed security agencies to track down the perpetrators, and they will face severe consequences once apprehended. These intermittent attacks have no place in our country, especially as we strive to restore peace and order nationwide.”
He further reassured Nigerians that such incidents would not deter his government from its duty to protect every citizen. “This unfortunate event will not weaken our resolve. Rather, it strengthens our commitment to eradicating evil forces wherever they may be hiding,” he declared.
Offering his support to those affected, the President added, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and all those impacted by this senseless violence. No community should have to endure such tragedy. Now more than ever, we must stand united to foster peace and stability. I urge all Nigerians—regardless of ethnic, religious, or political backgrounds—to uphold our shared humanity, embrace peace, and reject retaliation.”
