Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, on Monday announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended the tenure of Mrs. Kemi Nanna Nandap as the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) until December 31, 2026.
Mrs. Nandap began her career with the Nigeria Immigration Service on October 9, 1989, and was appointed Comptroller-General on March 1, 2024, with an original term ending on August 31, 2025.
Under her leadership, the NIS has achieved significant progress in key areas, including enhanced border management, the modernization of immigration processes, and strengthened national security measures.

President Tinubu praised Mrs. Nandap for her exemplary leadership and encouraged her to continue aligning the Service’s strategic priorities with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The President also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the NIS in safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity and promoting safe, legal, and orderly migration.
