TGF Felicitates Former Army Chief Dambazau on Birthday, Hails His Service to Nigeria

The Transformative Governance Forum (TGF) has congratulated former Chief of Army Staff and ex-Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a statesman whose lifelong service has strengthened Nigeria’s institutions and democratic governance.
In a statement issued by the forum’s leadership, TGF praised the retired lieutenant general and trustee of the organisation for what it described as decades of distinguished service to the country in the military, public administration, and national development.
The group said Dambazau’s career exemplifies honour, integrity, and commitment to the ideals of responsible leadership, noting that his contributions as a former Chief of Army Staff and minister demonstrated his belief that public office is a responsibility to serve the people.
According to the statement, the presence of Dambazau on the Board of Trustees of TGF reflects the organisation’s commitment to promoting good governance, institutional integrity, and national renewal.
“His membership of our Board of Trustees is not merely honorary, it is foundational. To have a man of his calibre, his record, and his vision standing with TGF underscores that our commitment to transformative governance is rooted in principle and sacrifice,” the forum said.
The organisation added that beyond his public offices, Dambazau has continued to invest his experience and intellectual capacity in national discourse and governance reforms.
