Summit to Strengthen Technical Education, Promote Made-in-Nigeria Products, and Drive Industry, Academia Collaboration

Chairman of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), His Excellency Aminu Bello Masari, will lead a distinguished line-up of speakers at the Interior and Furniture Summit 2025, a high-level gathering aimed at repositioning Nigeria’s interior and furniture industry through innovation, technical education, and local production.
Abuja Interior and Furniture Summit 2025 to convene industry leaders, policymakers, academics, and innovators in a landmark event aimed at transforming Nigeria’s interior and furniture landscape.
Organized in collaboration with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), the summit will bring together top government officials, educators, industry experts, and entrepreneurs to chart a course for a more competitive and self-reliant interior and furniture sector.
The summit will focus on developing skills in furniture and interior design, particularly through enhanced support for technical schools and polytechnics. Proposed interventions include:
Specialized training programs tailored for students in technical institutions.
Mentorship opportunities with seasoned professionals to bridge the experience gap.
Internship and job placement schemes for graduates.
Curriculum reforms in collaboration with NBTE to align with industry standards.
Promoting Nigerian Products
Another major focus will be on promoting Made-in-Nigeria furniture and interior products. The summit will advocate for:
