As Skywise Group approaches its 10th anniversary, Dr. Elvis L. Abuyere, the visionary Chief Executive Officer, reflects on a decade of growth, innovation, and social impact. In an exclusive interview with Distinct News, he unveils the company’s journey, future ambitions, and how Skywise is setting new standards in investment, automobile importation and manufacturing.
What inspired the vision behind Skywise Group, and where do you see the company in the next ten years?
We’re already becoming a household name in Nigeria. With three offices in Abuja, one in Lagos, and another in Benin, our presence is growing fast. In the next ten years, I see Skywise competing with global brands, expanding beyond Nigeria and Africa. We’re just now laying the real foundation. Skywise is at the top, and we intend to stay there.
How has Skywise ensured investor trust and sustainability in the financial sector?
For the past decade, transparency has been our watchword. No investor has ever faced issues with payments or fund liquidation. We’re cautious with secondary investment options and always advise clients to assess sustainability and regulatory compliance. Skywise is SEC-certified and in the final stages of obtaining a CBN finance house license.
What are some of the major achievements of Skywise Group so far?
We’ve contributed to Nigeria’s GDP, created employment for nearly 100 staff across branches, and launched initiatives like the “Meet the CEO” program. Last year, we gave out over N10 million in grants to young entrepreneurs. This year’s edition will hold on November 29, 2025.
How does Skywise support Nigerians beyond business, especially in emergencies?
We step in where traditional banks fall short providing immediate financial aid for emergency school fees, medical bills, legal matters, and contractor mobilization. We act fast, with empathy and responsibility.
Is Skywise planning to move from vehicle importation to manufacturing?
Yes. We’ve acquired land from my state government to begin vehicle manufacturing. Our goal is to produce affordable, high-quality vehicles made in Nigeria, tailored to the needs of everyday citizens. Expect to see Skywise vehicles on the roads within five years.
With the global shift from petroleum to gas and electric mobility, what is Skywise’s approach?
We’re ahead of the curve. We operate a certified CNG conversion center and display electric vehicles in our showroom. We actively encourage CNG conversion for its cleaner, more economical benefits. EVs are a key part of our future vision.
Is there a flexible payment plan for Nigerians who can’t afford full car payments?
Absolutely. We offer installment payment options with a one-year maintenance guarantee. We want to make car ownership accessible, affordable, and reliable.
What are the plans for Skywise Group’s 10-year anniversary celebration?
It’s a week-long celebration, beginning with the Innovative March. There will be corporate social responsibility programs in partnership with the police and road safety officials, financial literacy campaigns, and a grand dinner at Skywise Airport to close the week.
Can you share more about the structure of Skywise Group?
Skywise Group consists of multiple companies under a robust advisory board. Our chairman is Abasola Ousmane Seriki. Mr. Wallace Nkoya leads Skywise Global Investment Services, which is SEC-certified. We have specialized departments for customer service, operations, auto sales, and more. We’re also constructing a five-floor edifice in Benin.
Does the Skywise Foundation have an official platform for youth seeking grants and mentorship?

What advice do you have for young Nigerians hoping to succeed in today’s economy?
Stay in Nigeria. Believe in yourself. You don’t need to relocate to succeed. This country hasn’t tapped 5% of its economic potential. In scarcity, the best ideas emerge. Build yourself, become valuable. If I can do it, so can you.
